Zookeeping 201: Grades 10-College

Work alongside professional zookeepers all day long. Returning Zookeeping 101 campers may enroll in this camp for more in-depth encounters.

Take zookeeping to the next level. Experience real-life, hands-on animal care at one of the nation’s largest zoos. Work alongside expert zookeepers, observe animal training methods and engage in up-close animal encounters. Plus, enjoy all that Busch Gardens® and SeaWorld® have to offer.

Prerequisites for this camp are Zookeeping 101, Career Camp 10-12 at SeaWorld Orlando or related experience working with animals.

Here are just some of the experiences you can expect:

  • Assist professional zookeepers in animal care
  • Venture across the Serengeti Plain® for an eye-to-eye view of giraffes and zebra 
  • Experience SeaWorld including amazing animal exhibits and Manta® - where you fly like a ray
  • Enhance your knowledge about wildlife at risk and identify ways you can make a difference during a team project
  • Enjoy all the world class rides, shows and animal exhibits Busch Gardens and SeaWorld offer

Zookeeping 201 is a 5-night long camp which begins at 12:00 p.m. Saturday morning and ends promptly Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Busch Gardens'® Camps are fully chaperoned resident camps that include the following amenities:

  • Transportation between Busch Gardens and Tampa International Airport (TPA)
  • All meals and snacks
  • Two Camp T-shirts and a water bottle
  • Housing at our dormitory, Mzinga Lodge
