Insider Tips

Check out the kangaroo feeding times when you arrive at the park.

Visit Walkabout Way in the morning and at dusk. The animals are very active and is a great time to hand-feed the animals.

Ask the kangaroo keepers about bottle-feeding the baby kangaroos, or joeys. This is usually done several times daily.

Walkabout Way is included with your admission. Food to feed the animals is available for purchase.

If the animals are at the fence, feel free to touch them, even if you don't have food. They LOVE being scratched between their arms, at chest level.

We often bring bring by other Australian animal ambassadors to visit Walkabout Way. We have:

  • Kaptain, our red roo joey
  • Darwin, our Tawny frogmouth (who is often mistaken for an owl)

  • Paco, our Umbrella cockatoo
