Junior Zookeepers: Grades 7-8
Caring for animals is a fun, rewarding, and sometimes, messy job! Here, you'll find out how truly amazing being a zookeeper really is. Take a glimpse into the professional world of animal care and get a jump-start on environmental education. You will also see the "night" side of the zoo as you spend one night sleeping side by side with the animals in our Tiger Lodge.
Ready to learn what it takes to be a zoo keeper? While a “Junior Zookeeper”, here are just some of the experiences you can expect:
- Meet our Zookeepers to get an inside peak at how we care for our animals
- Meet animals daily, with opportunities to take photos
- Explore Busch Gardens’® animal exhibits during interactive group activities
- Enjoy all of the age appropriate rides, shows and attractions of Busch Gardens®
Junior Zookeepers is a week long day camp which runs Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; Thursday 5:30 p.m. (Sleepover) - Friday 3:00 p.m. Camps are fully chaperoned day programs that include the following amenities:
- Daily lunches, snacks & drinks
- A Camp T-shirt and a water bottle
- A complimentary photo with a Busch Gardens® animal ambassador
- Complimentary admission to Busch Gardens® following camp each day for campers
$260 per camper if booked before 3/1/13.
$270 per camper if booked on or after 3/1/13.
Extended care is available after camp daily from 3:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. for $15 per camper per day.
