Conservation Connections 11 to College
Conservation Connection combines Expedition Conservation and Zookeeping 101 together into an exciting two-week camp.
For a more in-depth zoological experience spend two weeks at Busch Gardens®. You'll participate in Zookeeping 101 and Expedition Conservation, and explore the Tampa Bay area for two days in between.
Zookeeping 101
Assist zookeepers with their daily routine ithat includes preparing diets, animal training and providing veterinary care. Experience first-hand what it takes to care for a variety of exotic animals from giraffes to hippos to lemurs. Plus, enjoy all the thrilling rides and world-class shows at Busch Gardens and cool off at Adventure Island®.
Expedition Conservation
Experience conservation in action through real-life, hands-on work in the field. Observe endangered species and discover how conservation education impacts visitors at one of the nation’s largest zoos. Engage in up-close animal encounters and speak to zoo professionals. Plus, enjoy all that Busch Gardens and SeaWorld® have to offer.
Conservation Connections is a 12-night long camp which begins at 12:00 p.m. Saturday morning Week 1 and ends promptly Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. Week 2.
Busch Gardens'® Camps are fully chaperoned resident camps that include the following amenities:
- Transportation between Busch Gardens and Tampa International Airport (TPA)
- All meals and snacks
- Four Camp T-shirts and a water bottle
- Housing at our dormitory, Mzinga Lodge
