BUSCH GARDENS LAUNCHES PHOTO-SHARING PROGRAM

Busch Gardens® Tampa has launched PhotoKey, a new photo sharing program that allows guests to collect, view and share their unforgettable in-park experiences. PhotoKey users can collect photos using their PhotoKey card and view and share photos instantly with the PhotoKey mobile app.

GORILLA BIRTH EXPECTED AT BUSCH GARDENS

A 12-year-old western lowland gorilla named Pele is pregnant and expected to give birth later this year, Busch Gardens announced today. With a gestation period of 8 1/2 months, Pele is expected to give birth in November 2014.

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment Salutes Veterans with “Waves of Honor” Special Online Offer

As Veterans Day approaches, SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment™ for the second year in a row is launching a special offer to honor all the men and women who have previously served as members of the U.S. armed services. The “Waves of Honor” salute to veterans offers 50 percent off single-day admission to the SeaWorld® and Busch Gardens® Parks, and Sesame Place® for veterans and service members, and as many as five guests.

JACK HANNA RETURNS TO BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA SEPT. 13-14

Join “Jungle Jack” Hanna at Busch Gardens® Tampa on Sept. 13 and Sept. 14 for Wild Days, a weekend of wild animal shows, autograph signings and special meet and greets. The internationally-known animal expert will share animal facts and his travel tales during animal shows in Stanleyville Theater, as well as make special appearances at a family sleepover that on Saturday night.

BUSCH GARDENS HOSTS WATER RESCUE TRAINING

In partnership with the Florida National Guard’s Emergency Services Special Team, Busch Gardens® Tampa will host Swift Water Rescue Training on Wednesday, July 16. Guardsmen will use the park’s Congo River Rapids to train for realistic scenarios and emergencies they could encounter.

BUSCH GARDENS’ NEWEST SHOW OPENING NIGHT CRITTERS TAKES THE STAGE

Busch Gardens® Tampa’s newest live stage show Opening Night Critters takes the stage this summer in Pantopia Theater. Featuring rescued domestic and exotic animals, including dogs, cats, birds, a horse and a kangaroo, among others, this theatrical tale follows a couple of stage hands as they haphazardly find themselves in the spotlight as the human stars in an all-animal production.

BUSCH GARDENS RESCUES AMERICAN BALD EAGLE ON FOURTH OF JULY

Busch Gardens® Tampa rescued a southern American Bald Eagle this past Friday, the Fourth of July. The park’s veterinary staff performed surgery this morning on the bald eagle at the park’s state-of-the-art Animal Care Center. The eagle was found on MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, unable to fly.

Busch Gardens® Tampa recently welcomed three lion cubs to the park, one male and two unrelated females. After a weeklong poll, 6,000 Busch Gardens Tampa Facebook fans voted to name the two lion cub sisters. The winning names for the three-month-old cubs are Shaba, meaning “brazen”, and Shtuko, meaning “twitch”.

Busch Gardens® Tampa has two new residents: baby Southern Ground Hornbills, which were hatched on Feb. 15 and Feb. 19. Southern Ground Hornbills are the largest of all hornbills, and the two new males are growing rapidly.

FACEBOOK FANS WILL NAME THE BABY WHITE RHINOCEROS

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay is asking for help from the Facebook Fans to name the new baby white rhinoceros on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. The female rhino, which was originally born on the 26-acre white rhino habitat on Busch Gardens’ Serengeti Plain, has spent the last week bonding with her mother off of guest view. The baby and her mother will rejoin the crash, or group of rhinos this morning.
