Ride Technology

In this episode, we take you to our secret ride testing facility where designers are busy preparing the first-of-its-kind vehicles for Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin. You'll see the cars in action and how they'll take you into the icy wonders of our amazing new attraction opening next spring.

Creative Director Brian Morrow interviews SeaWorld's Corporate Ride Engineer, Mike Denninger, about how the cars move through the space, what you'll expect when on the ride and how these amazing vehicles will help you become part of the story as you follow a young penguin’s adventures.

Ride Experience

Take a first look at the incredible vehicle that will transport you and your family into the icy wonders of Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, SeaWorld Orlando's newest attraction opening spring 2013. Creative Director Brian Morrow shares details about the cars, technological marvels, and the ride, a theme park "first."

Each car is a mobile simulator, with movements that allow guests to become one with the story line as they follow a young penguin’s adventures. For the first time in any theme park, this motion-based simulator ride will be completely trackless and guests will choose one of two levels of adventure with various levels of intensity.

Penguins

Our second installment of Behind The Freeze focuses on the stars of our 2013 adventure -- the penguins! SeaWorld’s top animal expert, Mike Boos, showcases the species of birds that will make their home at Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin when it opens at SeaWorld Orlando next spring.

Get ready for an epic exploration into an icy world like you’ve never seen before. Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, the most immersive mega-attraction ever created by SeaWorld, is coming in spring 2013. Set in the majestic grandeur of the icy South Pole, this exhilarating ride will glide, slide and transport your family to the penguins’ surprising world where you can brave a blizzard.
