In the same way SeaWorld brought attention to the plight of the manatee – the park’s attraction, "Manatee Rescue," created interest that helped to save the species – at TurtleTrek, we will showcase the vulnerable sea turtle and ask everyday heroes across the globe to help make a difference in saving animals in the wild.

No animal’s life journey is more incredible than that of the sea turtle. From hatching on a beach and making the mad dash to open waters to the dangers and hazards they face as they mature and return to the very same beach to lay their own eggs, their tales of life underwater have in the past been impossible to show. And no theme park in the world is better equipped than SeaWorld to share that journey with millions of people.

Now is your chance to find out what it’s like to "be a turtle" and learn about the incredible journey these amazing animals face throughout their lives. From a turtle’s point of view, go on the epic journey to see the challenges and hardships faced to survive and make it back to the beach where you were hatched.

Dome Construction
TurtleTrek is going to be a 3D 360 degree dome theater experience that takes you on a sea turtle’s incredible journey and invites you to become an everyday hero. How is this done? The dome is key because it allows a hyper-realistic 3D movie to be shown all around you and even above you – not just in front of you or on only one screen. This webisode discusses the dome that brings the film to life, and all of the cool stats that go along with it – 34 projectors, 22 audio channels and more!

Turtle Conservation
Take an insider's look at how SeaWorld Orlando returns a rehabilitated sea turtle back into its natural environment. Learn from turtle expert, Dan Conklin, what this sub-adult loggerhead suffered from and how SeaWorld prepared it for its return and how you, too, can help save turtles.

After a purchase, guests will see, through a multimedia experience exactly how a portion of each dollar spent benefits in-the-field research to help save animals through through the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund^®. During each purchase, guests are bathed in an orange glow while a Florida Manatee or Green Sea Turtle animates and dissolves into the SeaWorld & Busch Gardens Conservation Fund displaying the guest's unique contribution and overall funds donated to date.
