Overview

Enter the water right beside our graceful, white beluga whales. Touch and feed them as animal trainers share some techniques they use to communicate with these warm-hearted residents of the cold Arctic waters. Few places in the world offer such an up-close, unique interaction with these animals. This rare opportunity is limited to just a few guests each day.

Program Details

Beluga Interaction includes:
  • Trainer led in-water interaction with a Beluga Whale
  • Behind-the Scenes tour of Wild Arctic to include the walrus, polar bear and beluga habitats
  • SeaWorld provided wetsuit and booties for in-water interaction
  • Shower facility with provided soap, shampoo, hair dryers and a personal locker
  • Souvenir towel


    • Program Details:
  • SeaWorld San Diego admission ticket is required and not included in the Beluga Interaction price
  • Participants must be at least 10 years of age, taller than 48”, and in good health
  • All participants, or a legal guardian, will be required to sign a liability release form before beginning the program
  • Swimming is not part of the program but participants should be comfortable in waist/chest deep water
  • Overall program lasts about 60 minutes and is subject to change
  • In-water interaction lasts approximately 20 minutes
  • Participants will be required to wear a SeaWorld issued wetsuit with booties during the in-water interaction
  • Participants must bring a swimsuit
  • Participants must remove all jewelry prior to entering the water
  • No smoking is permitted at any time during the interaction
  • Due to the special nature of this program, space is limited and early reservations are recommended
  • Locker room and showers are available for the duration of the interaction
  • Photographers will be available during the in-water interaction with photos available afterwards for an additional fee
  • Dates, program, prices and fees are subject to change without notice


    • Cancellation Policy:
  • Cancellations 45 days or more before your reservation date will result in a full refund
  • Cancellations 30-44 days before your reservation date will include a $10 fee per participant with the balance refunded
  • Cancellations 8-29 days before your reservation date will result in half of your reservation being refunded
  • Cancellations within 7 days of your reservation date will not be refunded
  • All events are subject to change and/or cancellation due to animal availability
  • Events are not cancelled due to inclement weather; program will still be offered except in the event of lightning
