SeaWorld San Diego’s bird department, part of “Team Clapper Rail,” helped release endangered light-footed clapper rails into a San Diego marshland in 2011. The event marked the 300th bird released as part of a 10-year breeding program coordinated by SeaWorld San Diego, the Chula Vista Nature Center and the San Diego Zoo’s Safari Park.
