SeaWorld's 2013 Pole to Pole 5k Fun Run - Online Registration

Please join us April 20, 2013 for SeaWorld's Pole to Pole 5k Fun Run presented by Nature’s Own, benefitting Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute (HSWRI), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This event brings attention to the amazing work HSWRI and SeaWorld do to help protected species worldwide. HSWRI has been studying Antarctic and Arctic wildlife since the 1970's. Research on whales and dolphins, seals and sea lions, penguins and seabirds has taken the HSWRI scientists to remote habitats in the Arctic, Antarctic and sub-Antarctic. HSWRI projects involving the animals at SeaWorld, such as polar bear hearing studies, are providing information that would be impossible to obtain in the wild. HSWRI is international in scope, collaborating with scientists from Canada, Russia, Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Japan, and South Africa. Its scientists partner with resource managers and researchers from the National Oceanic Atmosphere Administration, National Biological Service, the State of Alaska, the U.S. National Science Foundation and others to advance understanding and conservation of the magnificent and yet surprisingly fragile polar ecosystems.

Your participation will create a positive impact on the world in which we live. Proceeds raised through Pole to Pole runners and walkers goes directly into the field to help wildlife and wild places. Register now and join in this remarkable experience to benefit a worthy cause.
