Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Kindness Volunteer Opportunity

Volunteering opportunities at Christmas Town in Williamsburg, VA

Giving back to the local community is important to the Busch Gardens ® family. Each year, Team Members rally together in support of numerous local organizations and community outreach programs located throughout Coastal Virginia. Volunteering time or giving donations is a perfect way to do something good in your own community, especially during the holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day and other holidays are special times with friends and families and should bring joy, laughter and cheer to everyone. This year, we are asking each and every one of you to share a little light toward a neighbor, a stranger, a friend or foe, or someone who might be having a rough time or is down in the dumps. One person can make a difference in the world, even with the smallest action.

Mrs. Claus and her elves are on a mission to make Christmas BRIGHT with big and small gestures. Throughout the holidays, we will be sharing volunteer ideas for families to do together, because the memories that you share together each and every Christmas will be what stays with you for years to come.

Help Us Reach Our Goal

Our goal is to log five thousand volunteer hours in November and December from people near and far. If we reach it, the Busch Gardens team will donate five thousand hours of community outreach in 2018. Have you volunteered your time recently? Donated clothes or tutored someone? Volunteered at a festival or event? Did you clean the Bay, serve at a soup kitchen or give back hours of your time for school opportunities? Every time you volunteer, no matter how big or small, log your hours and tell us about it.

Log your volunteer hours

Mrs. Claus' Christmas Kindness Meter

The more volunteer hours you log, the more lights the Christmas tree will have. Check back throughout November and December to see just how bright this holiday season will be.

Family Volunteer Workshop

Want to volunteer but don’t know how or where to go? Teach your children the importance of giving back to the community with Busch Gardens. Mrs. Claus will be hosting a Family Volunteer Workshop at Das Festhaus ® on December 5 from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. The workshop will be free to families and include four different volunteer stations. There will be raffles, photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus, hot cocoa, cookies and most importantly, opportunities to give back to the community and share a little Christmas kindness. Families are encouraged to bring a toy to donate to Toys For Tots.
